As an international producer of metals, materials and chemicals we are fully committed to ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and contractors working at Elkem facilities.

In line with our Climate Roadmap, we also pledge to control and reduce the environmental impact of our production activities, ensuring a responsible environmental footprint. Our governing policies state that health, safety and environment (HSE) are always Elkem’s first priority, and we run our operations based on a zero-harm philosophy.

Elkem’s production processes and activities involve a number of inherent hazards and emissions as our operations include high temperature smelting (>2000 C) and advanced processing of hazardous chemicals.
