ATRiON R&I center is located in Saint-Fons in Lyon’s Chemical Valley, France.

On July 1^st 2021, Elkem Silicones announced the opening of ATRiON, its new Research and Innovation center in Lyon - France. Short for “atrium and innovation”, ATRiON fosters collaborative and agile research work, reflecting the evolution of research towards more open, more multidisciplinary formats.

R&I teams work closely with sustainability team within Elkem and within our Open innovation and partners network to prepare sustainable future and build green transition.
Due to their durability and resistance to weathering, chemicals and high temperatures, silicones extend the lifespan of products.
Extended lifespan minimise waste and support the ambition to reduce the demand for primary materials.
In fact, it has been found that using products made with silicones saves 9 times more greenhouse gases than what was emitted during the manufacture of these silicone materials.

GENDER EQUITY INDEX

The Elkem group relies on the concepts of diversity and inclusion, in particular in terms of gender equity. The gender equity index is calculated according to the decree of March 10, 2021 and Elkem Silicones France displays a score of 82 points out of 100 for 2025, split as following:

• Pay gap: 37/40
• Individual increase rate gap: 20/20
• Promotion rate gap: 10/15
• Individual increases following maternity or adoption leave: 15/15
•  Parity among the 10 highest salaries: 0/10

The company has at least 75 points legally required, with a slightly lower score compared to previous years. A review on the actions accompanied by the implementation of progression goals are planned with the negotiation of a new gender equity agreement in July 2025.

L’index égalité professionnelle est calculé conformément au décret du 10 Mars 2021 et Elkem Silicones France a obtenu pour l’année 2025 le score de 82 points sur 100, répartis comme suit :

• Ecart de rémunération : 37/40
• Ecart de taux d'augmentations individuelles : 20/20
• Ecart de taux de promotions : 10/15
• Augmentations individuelles suite à congé maternité ou adoption : 15/15
• Parité parmi les 10 plus hautes rémunérations : 0/10 

La société a atteint les 75 points requis, avec un score légèrement en baisse par rapport aux années précédentes. Une revue des actions ainsi que la mise en place d'objectifs de progression sont prévues avec la négociation d'un nouvel accord égalité professionnelle en juillet 2025.
