SILCOLAPSE™ foam control agents
As well as being used as reactants or intermediates in chemical manufacture, silicones – such as our SILCOLAPSE™ range – are widely employed as foam control agents and lubricants.
The use of these additives has benefits in the form of minimizing any reduction of effective reactor volumes, pumping efficiencies, or shear in mixing operations. Foam control agents are also used in the treatment of aqueous effluent streams generated by chemical processing. Overall, the use of foam control agents saves both water and energy, and thus lower investment and maintenance costs.
